I didn't even bring my camera on our trip to Alabama this past week, but Jeremy was the father of the year and took care of the girls while I visited and enjoyed spending true quality time with my family.  He also took a few photos to boot.  We HAVE to hang our hammock this spring...the girls love swinging at my parents' house.

Their love for each other is contagious/admirable/sweet/lovely/heart-filling/my-favorite-thing-in-the-world.

Addy had pajama day at school week before last...total coincidence that they matched...therefore, I couldn't resist a little phone picture before it was bus time.

It's Party Time!

This year, we celebrated the girls' birthdays in a fun, colorful party at our house.

I loved the way these little rainbow cakes turned out.

I hung pictures of the girls from ribbon attached with tiny clothes pins all over the house.  I love looking at them so much, I have yet to take them down.

This punch out game was so fun.  If you answered a color-themed question correctly, you chose a button to punch and a prize was inside.

Gum ball obstacle course.... maneuver your way through the lollipops and cross over the candy cane bridge and back without dropping your gum ball from your spoon.

And She's Two...

Now, we get to enjoy celebrating one of the most perfect days of my life.
My tiny girl is two years old.
I never had one of those moments where I wondered if I would be able to love you as much as your sister.  It is like God always had a place saved away for you in my heart.  As if you were always there waiting to bring so much laughter into my life.  You are the funniest girl in the world.  You get away with so much of your mischievous ways by ensuring that a laugh follows whatever you have done.  You have your sister wrapped around your finger.  I know that you'll always have someone to watch over you with her around.  I've always called you a tiny kangaroo because if I had a pouch, that's where you would spend most of your time.  And, that is just fine with me.  You were my missing piece and I am so thankful for you.  You are fiesty...a good thing in my book.  You love your family.  You would prefer to spend most days on the go.  If you are tired....you are sick.  Woody and Buzz make you smile...really the whole Toy Story gang.

I love you so much my tiny, sweet girl.  You bring me pure joy.

Baby girl, you are six.

I have no idea how six years have passed from when you were this tiny.  I remember holding you in my arms and feeling so complete.  I didn't realize it was possible to be scared to death and overflowing with love at the exact same moment.  We bonded instantly.  My love for you was so intense that I watched you in amazement....

And now, you are six years old...and I feel the exact same way.

You are more than what I dreamed a daughter could be.  You are the best big sister and friend.  You always want to do what is right and have a heart of gold.  Follow your instincts and listen to that voice inside your head telling you to do what is right....even if some say it's not cool...doing the right thing is always cool, sweetie.  You are funny and serious at the same time.  You wear your feelings on your sleeve...right where they should be.  Always remember to be compassionate like you are today.  Don't worry about finishing perfectly or first....trying your hardest is all that we ask of you, sweet girl.  You are independent. You are cautious.  You are our first baby and for that, I will always be grateful.

I love you...you are my sweet, baby girl...always.

Christmas Eve Choir

While I figure out my new computer and PhotoShop...thanks to my sweet hubby...here is a video of Addyson's church choir on Christmas Eve.  She is the one in the light green dress and brown boots with a bow in her hair.
More pictures to come next week!  I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!
